Graphic Design can contain a great many different projects under one heading. The broader umbrella of Graphics is usually understated and muddied by the sheer magnitude of what the word can refer to. Harsh can offer a few different looks into graphic design for your project.
Character Design is essentially bringing to life an idea for a character in a story, game, or other project so that they seem to fit within the established parameters of the intended production. Most character design goes through a few drafts to really nail down the look, feel, and style of the image.
Creature Design is much like Character design except it is usually in reference to non-humanoid creatures. Most humanoid creatures are typically considered characters believe it or not. Creatures, however, are usually monsters, mounts, or domesticated animals that might interact with characters on some level.
Concept Art is another broad area of design. It can include Character and Creature design as well as landscapes, vehicles, interiors and exteriors of buildings, and more. It is essentially what it sounds like. The artist is concepting an idea for the creator until it is perfectly rendered to the creator's satisfaction.
Graphic Design, in specific, can usually be broken down to those images produced for use in web or print productions of various typse. Many web pages and print productions make heavy use of graphic designs in subtle or impactful ways.
Web Design is more the building and publishing of websites. Harsh builds his own websites as well as a few others for some clients.
Logos are needed for nearly all sizes of business from the small business to larger corporations to foundations and charities as well. Logos need to represent boldly and clearly what the company is and what it is about.
T-shirt Design is a little tricky at times, but it basically comes down to personal taste. Harsh has designed over a dozen t-shirts to date and is working on nearly that many more at the moment. |
