Since the age of four Scott Harshbarger, also known as Harsh, has had one, single-minded pursuit in his desire to express himself through art. Most of his youth was spent in devotion to finding his own voice as an artist, and today stacks of sketchbooks full of superheroes, Roleplaying Game characters, and cartoons fill the shelves and filing cabinets of his studio.

This need to focus himself through his imagination led Harsh to the innevitible conclusion that he should create illustrations for a living. The creation and design process have since become one of Harsh's favorite past-times.

In October of 2002 Harsh was published in The Bestiary of Krynn, a Greyhawk Dungeons & Dragons suppliment book. Since then he has continued to produce artwork for various clients in not only the Roleplaying Game Industry, but several others as well.

Harsh's most recent endeavors include a variety of web-based and print graphics, web design, digital paintings, and the continued creation of line work and colored line work such as found in comics both past and present.

Harsh's working process usually includes a beginning pencil sketch, though sometimes purely digital these days, then working the image in either Photoshop CS4 or Painter 11 with his Wacom Intuos 4 into an inked or painted image. A typical image takes a day or two to create.
